family portraits

Justin and Jennifer Robinson

I could feel when I was being built that I would be
special. The care that was taken in picking out my tiles,
my paint, my layout, my view of the lake, every detail
was planned.

look!

it's me!

look!

it's me!

i could feel

when i was being built

that i would

be special

And then it came... .move in day, And I met my family. How were
we introduced? With my Justin carrying Jennifer over the
threshold after the kids raced to pick out their rooms! And sweet
little Sarah - why she was the perfect little superhero zooming
from room to room while the imaginative Vann scoped the back
yard for the perfect tree to tie the rope to that would launch him
into the cool waters of his new next door neighbor, Lake Lanier.

There was dancing, singing and skating down the halls, in socks mind you, waiting for the moving truck. I felt like home. They made me feel like home. And all was right with the world.

In the days and weeks since, I can hardly keep up with the four of them. They are all great at sports. Justin waterskis and stores his equipment in my garage. And Jenn plays ALTA tennis, A1 no less! And the kids find a way to be outside all the time. My little neighborhood allows them to just be kids of a bygone time, though I am always close by for them to feel safe.

Vann is the running back of his pee wee team, the Sea Dragons, apt for a boy who loves being in the water, and Sarah is a cheerleading Dragonette and extra practice is done on my lush front yard. On beautiful autumn days even Sandy our Golden Retriever goes out for passes.

THE

END.
