I miss the little girl that made forts out of pillows. She would play by my swimming pool and pretend it was a lagoon. Her parents had another baby and her dad was offered a new job. It is sad but I understand why they had to move on. We loved each other and a great story was written here but it is time for a new chapter. Hopefully my white picket fence DUFFY Realty "this could be the one" sign will once again inspire a family to write their own story with me. And this could be them coming now.

look!

it's me!

look!

it's me!

For a few weeks after my old family moved, I spent my days enjoying the fall sunlight that burst through my windows but one day something different happened. A women looked into my foyer window, placed her hands on the glass and in the reflection I could see how she was glowing. Her energy was so positive that it was contagious. Suddenly, I felt like a home again. The Browns would be a perfect eclectic fit.

Catherine painted me all different colors and even though I wasn't a fan of smurf blue in the study, it seems her and Marco and Mary know me better than myself. I love that color now. Ollie was adopted and I think it is cute the sound his little paws make on my hard wood floors.

We are a family that live happily together. After dinner we are always together in my comfy den all watching TV on the couch either after a spirited board game or study session, except little Marco, he falls asleep on my carpet next to Ollie. I'm a happy home filled with love.

Catherine does it all. She is a phenomenal business person, owning her own ultra chic boutique in the highly prestigious mixed-use Avalon. One day, most of her new impeccable spring line was laid all across my main floor. She is a super mom to the children. Sometimes I get tired but she never does...always teaching, always encouraging, always loving.

Catherine is always juggling. She seems to be able to do it all. There's no need to sacrifice, is her mantra. She's either riding horses with Mary or riding bikes around the neighborhood with Marco or with both at the jump and play.

And when Catherine needs a date night out on the town for a little dinner to please her inner gourmet or out dancing with her new beau, John, well Mrs. Margeson, the sitter and I, keep the children busy and entertained in my playroom over the garage. And with all it's pillows and Marco's imagination, who knew I would be back in the fort-building business so soon.

THE

END.

:)
