Dear Norm:

It is going to be difficult for us to thank you properly for all that you have done for us; just saying it with words doesn't’t come close to conveying the gratitude we have for all your help in our home-buying process. We’re going to try anyway!

We started looking at online listings in January. We were cautious with the money we had saved and didn't’t feel as though we should work with an agent because we knew we would need to cover various costs related to closing and moving into a new house. We thought that, as the buyers, we would have to pay an agent a commission. When we called and spoke with you about a listing through Duffy Realty, you took the time to explain to us that as the buyer, we would NOT have to pay a commission. You mentioned Duffy’s Buyer’s Cash Bonus program, and to be honest, it sounded too good to be true. When you offered to show us the house we were calling about plus a few others, we were hesitant and skeptical. You hear so many things about shady real estate agents, and we were largely clueless as we set out to buy our first home.

As it turned out, one of the houses you showed us was one we’d seen on the MLS and FMLS website and ignored because the pictures did not do it justice. In person, it was our dream home. You had taken our preferences and searched the databases and found this house for us. If not for that chance occurrence, I don’t know what we would have wound up with.

Considering our budget, we were expecting to end up with a modest 3 bedroom house and were keeping our fingers crossed for a decent backyard. With your persistence, knowledge, and experience, we closed on that nearly perfect 4 bedroom house with a full basement, fenced in backyard, and pool. Negotiations with the seller were a breeze, and we quickly agreed on the purchase price and contract details. Over and over, we would marvel about how easy and stress-free this was for us – most of our friends who have purchased homes have told us how frustrating this part was for them.

We look back on the whole process, from the first contact with you to closing to receiving our very generous Buyer’s Cash Bonus, and feel so thankful and lucky that we found you, Norm. On top of everything else, you knew the area well, answered all of our questions, and helped us set up the services we would need in the move to our new home.
